Peter and the Wolf is a classic symphonic fairy tale composed by Sergei Prokofiev in 1936 to introduce children to the instruments of the orchestra. Adapted countless times for ballet, the story features dancers and a narrator bringing to life Peter, his animal friends, and the fearsome wolf, with each character represented by a different instrument.

 

Firebird tells the story of Prince Ivan, who captures the magical Firebird but chooses to spare her life. In return, she helps him defeat the evil sorcerer Kastchei and free the captive princesses.
